Mr. Atta Dabone Snr, a Ghanaian businessman and Principal Economic Officer of the Ministry of Finance has recently been honored with the Global Business Excellence Commitment Award (Glo-BC) 2018, for His commitment to Business excellence. The Global Business Confederation is an international organization based in Johannesburg, South Africa and has agencies in over 20 countries. They recognize unique and committed entrepreneurs and Corporate Executives around the globe.
Mr. Dabone hails from Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana. He works within the Debt Management Division of the Ministry of Finance and has worked on many notable finance projects for over 10 years. One of his most notable achievements was his work on the Export Credit Agencies (ECAs). He is a Debt Management Diploma holder from the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM). He also graduated from the Methodist University College with a BSC in Economics and holds a Masters in Public Policy in Economics from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) from Tokyo, Japan. He is Also the Deputy Board Chairman of Foklex Media Awards.
Upon receiving the Award, Mr. Dabone stated how humbled he is to have been honored and recognized by Glo-BC and said the award will ginger him to do more with his entrepreneurial skills to push Ghana to the next level. He also noted that entrepreneurship is necessary for the development of Africa but it’s very challenging to sustain a business idea and grow it. So he is glad that his efforts to push through challenges to make his business goals successful have been recognized. Mr. Dabone revealed that his humble beginnings from his hometown, taught him to believe in himself and instincts.
On the 6th of December, 2018, Mr. Atta Dabone Snr will join other awardees at the Maslow Hotel in South Africa to be presented with the award by the Glo-BC. This is a very laudable achievement for any businessman in Africa. We therefore congratulate Mr. Atta Dabone on his achievement and goad him on to achieving more tremendous feats in the future.
